Overview
Cambridge International AS Level Economics (9708) covers basic economic ideas and resource allocation, the price system and the microeconomy, government microeconomic intervention, the macroeconomy, and government macroeconomic intervention.
Paper 2 carries about two thirds of the AS marks.

AS Level has two papers. Paper 1 is a 1-hour multiple choice paper with 30 questions. Paper 2 is a 2-hour written paper worth 60 marks, with a compulsory data response question and essays.
Paper 1 is worth about a third of the AS Level and Paper 2 about two thirds. At full A Level, the AS papers make up half of the grade.
