Privacy Policy
Updated 21 October 2026What personal data TutorPOD collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
TutorPOD (tutor.studentpod.co) is the teaching arm of Studentpod, based in Singapore. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “TutorPOD” mean Studentpod, which operates TutorPOD and is responsible for your personal data.
We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). For any privacy question or request, email hello@studentpod.co.
We only collect what we need to run TutorPOD:
Google sign-in gives TutorPOD only your basic profile (name, email address and profile picture). We use it only to create and identify your TutorPOD account and to contact you about it. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers in section 5, who host our sign-in and database. TutorPOD’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We keep your account data while your account is active. We keep enquiries for up to 2 years after our last contact with you. We keep tutor applications and CVs for up to 1 year if we don’t invite you to join. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Premium files are kept in private storage and are served only to signed-in subscribers. Staff access is limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
You can ask to see or correct your personal data, ask us to delete your account, or withdraw your consent to us using it. Email hello@studentpod.co and we’ll respond within 30 days. Deleting your account ends any Premium access, so cancel your subscription first from your account page.
You can also remove TutorPOD’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Many of our students are in secondary school. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian agrees before you create an account, subscribe to Premium or send us your details. Parents can contact us about their child’s data at hello@studentpod.co.
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll also let signed-in users know by email. Our Terms of Service explain the rules for using TutorPOD.
