What CIMA E3 covers
Strategic Management (E3) is the Strategic level Enterprise paper. It covers the strategy process, analysing the internal and external environment, generating and evaluating strategic options, digital strategy and the impact of technology, strategic control and performance, and leading and managing change.
The E3 exam format
E3 is a 90-minute computer-based objective test, booked on demand at a test centre or taken online. Results are on a scale up to 150, and you need 100 to pass.
Where students lose marks
- Knowing models but not using them. Questions test which model or option fits the situation best.
- Digital topics. Digital strategy and new technology are a growing part of the paper.
- Reading too quickly. Scenarios often include one detail that changes the right answer.
The 2026 syllabus update
CIMA updated its syllabus in 2026. Objective tests follow the new content from January 2026, with more on digital strategy and generative AI. The exam format did not change.
How TutorPOD teaches E3
Classes are led by Paul William, founder of TutorPOD, who holds CIMA, ACCA and CA Singapore qualifications. E3 lessons explain each model with real company examples, then practise scenario-based objective test questions in class. You get structured notes and timed mocks with personalised feedback.
Classes run live online and in person in Singapore, in small groups or 1-to-1.
Strategic level papers
E3 sits alongside P3 Risk Management and F3 Financial Strategy. Together they lead to the Strategic Case Study.
