What CIMA E2 covers
Managing Performance (E2) is the Management level Enterprise paper. It covers business models and how organisations create value, including digital business models, managing people performance through leadership, motivation and teams, and managing projects from start to finish.
The E2 exam format
E2 is a 90-minute computer-based objective test, booked on demand at a test centre or taken online. Results are on a scale up to 150, and you need 100 to pass.
Where students lose marks
- Model mix-ups. Several leadership and motivation theories sound alike, so you need to know what makes each one different.
- Not applying to the scenario. Questions describe a situation and ask which approach fits it best.
- Project tools. Critical path and project stages need practice, not just reading.
The 2026 syllabus update
CIMA updated its syllabus in 2026. Objective tests follow the new content from January 2026. The exam format did not change.
How TutorPOD teaches E2
Classes are led by Paul William, founder of TutorPOD, who holds CIMA, ACCA and CA Singapore qualifications. E2 lessons explain each model with business examples, then practise scenario-based objective test questions in class. You get structured notes and timed mocks with personalised feedback.
Classes run live online and in person in Singapore, in small groups or 1-to-1.
Management level papers
E2 sits alongside P2 Advanced Management Accounting and F2 Advanced Financial Reporting. Together they lead to the Management Case Study.
